The Trinity Homecare team celebrated alongside the care industry of Surrey last Friday evening (18th November) at The Surrey Care Awards ceremony at the Copthorne Hotel Effingham, Gatwick.
Sylvie Blackmore, BBC Surrey and who also is a clinician for NHS hosted and presented the awards.
The Trinity team were there as finalists for the Homecare Provider of the Year Award and Team of Year Award.
The Trinity Homecare team are committed to providing ‘Outstanding’ care with empathy and compassion; this does not just extend to their clients but in supporting each other too.
Every member of the team is valued, if a member is off sick, a call is made to check they are ok and have everything they need, followed by a card or flowers to wish them well. Recently a carer was feeling unwell during a shift; the team not only reallocated their visits for the rest of the day, but one of them got in their own car to collect them and take them home, ensuring the carer was safe and had the support they needed.
The genuine care and commitment our team has for our clients is clear to see too. A client of nine years’ needs changed after a fall during the night. The team organised an emergency meeting with the occupational, physio and social services teams at the client’s home. After reassessing the equipment in place, the client’s needs and wishes, and training the client representative to support, our team were then able to care for the clients’ individual needs. The client representative was overjoyed to see their Aunt receiving the carers she loved having and thriving again.
Although sadly the team came away from the Surrey Care Awards 2022 empty-handed, they were thrilled to be finalists across some very competitive categories with some amazing achievements.
