We are delighted to announce that Angela Pritchard, a key member of our Trinity Homecare team, has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Family Engagement Champion at this year’s prestigious Surrey Care Awards. This recognition serves as a testament to her unwavering dedication and exceptional contributions to dementia care and family engagement.
Angela has been with Trinity Homecare since 2016 and has over 20 years of experience in both social and home care. Angela attended the Homecare Association’s Dementia Train the Trainer course in 2017 and took her knowledge further by becoming a Dementia Ambassador through the Alzheimer’s Society. She has been instrumental in making Trinity Homecare a dementia-friendly organisation and has provided dementia training to over 200 carers.
Angela has always been passionate about extending support not just to our clients but to their families as well. Recently instrumental in developing and presenting both online and face-to-face ‘Understanding Dementia Seminars for families. The events received overwhelmingly positive feedback.
We’re incredibly proud of Angela for being recognised as a finalist for this prestigious award. It underlines her commitment to family engagement and to increasing awareness about dementia, removing some of the associated assumptions and stereotyping and promoting the ethos of living well with dementia. We will be rooting for her at the Surrey Care Awards which will be taking place on Friday 10th November at Denbies Wine Estate, Dorking, Surrey hosted by presenter, comedian and Loose Women Panellist, Judi Love.
The Surrey Care Awards celebrate the fantastic work of both teams and individuals from across Surrey within the care sector who work so hard. Recognising that despite everyday challenges so many in social care bring so much impact to thousands every day.
