Accessible information will mean something different to everyone. For some it could mean translating information into their native language, for others it could mean an easy-read format, large print or braille, and for some it could mean something different entirely.
Whichever format helps you to understand the information, the right to access it remains equal for everyone.
The Accessible Information Standard (AIS) was introduced by the government in 2016 as a measure to ensure that:
people living with “a disability or sensory loss are able to access information in a way they can understand”.
At Trinity Homecare, we passionately believe that everyone should have equal opportunities to access our information and we’re committed to taking action to ensure that you’re receiving the right support.
The service you receive from us is entirely bespoke and this includes ensuring that the information you receive from us is in a format that is both accessible and appropriate for your needs.
We appreciate everyone as an individual and we understand that there’s no single solution to providing information in a way that will be accessible for everyone. With this in mind, if you require information in an alternative format, please contact a member of our team to discuss how we can support you.
If you’d like more general information about the AIS, you can find useful resources from Mencap, Sense and the NHS.
