Afternoon Socials
Enjoy an afternoon of companionship, games and activities at Age UK’s social events. The social is run by trusted volunteers who always welcome new members to join them every Wednesday from 1.00 PM to 3.00 PM at Belsize Court, 18 Burnell Road, Sutton, SM1 4BH.
Age UK’s Nordic Walking in Sutton
Keeping yourself fit and active is proven to contribute to mental and physical wellbeing. Age UK’s Nordic Walking group in Sutton provides a full body workout without the exhaustion of other forms of exercise. The specially designed poles which will assist you in walking faster, with better posture and take the strain off your joints. The Sutton group meets every Wednesday departing at 10.45 AM from the Age UK Sutton Office, Unit 2 Lower Square, St. Nicholas Way, Sutton SM1 1EA. (Cost £3.00 per person).
Age UK’s Sutton Community Dance Group
This vibrant dance group puts their dancing shoes on every Wednesday from 10.00 AM to 11.30 AM at the Sutton Christian Centre, 25 Tate Road, Sutton SM1 2SY. All abilities are welcome and together you’ll learn how to waltz, quickstep and cha cha!
Purls of Wisdom Sutton Knitting Group
Run by Age UK, Purls of Wisdom is a friendly local group where you can enjoy an afternoon of creative fun alongside fellow yarn enthusiasts. All abilities are welcome and the group meets every Thursday from 2.00 PM to 3.30 PM at Crownbourne Court, St. Nicholas Way, Sutton SM1 1JB.

Sutton Wellbeing Network
The Sutton Wellbeing Network (Sutton 1in4) is a network of organisations and community groups who share knowledge and resources to improve wellbeing in Sutton. As a cooperative organisation, the ultimate aim of the Sutton Wellbeing Network (Sutton 1in4) is to support individuals on their journey to recovery and well-being. Improving mental health services in Sutton is a key focus for the network and representatives from local health services attend regular Open Forums on specific themes to support members of the community.

Socialise Sessions at Sutton Vision
Sutton Vision offers a range of support to help people who are partially sighted or have complete sight loss.
They hold regular social events within the community including:
- The Hello group at the Welcome Café at Christchurch with St Philip in Ruskin Drive, Worcester Park.
- Sutton Macular Group meets on the 2nd Monday of each month; the Friendly Club meets alternate Wednesdays.
- The VI Leisure Group (VILG) offer a number of varied activities including a book club, lunches and coffee mornings throughout each month. For full details on any of the VI Leisure Group activities please contact Sue Christie on 07891 783291.
