Trinity Homecare’s 100k Summer Walk to Support The Royal Marsden Hospital
At Trinity Homecare, we encourage all of our clients and carers to stay active to maintain good physical and mental health. Since we support clients with a broad range of conditions, including cancer, we felt it would be a good idea to have our clients and staff walking 100k together, raising money for The Royal Marsden Hospital– a local charity that supports individuals living with cancer.
Pam’s story: 95-year-old starts walking again with Trinity Homecare’s live-in care
All of Trinity’s clients and staff have been invited to participate in the 100k Summer Walk and it was no surprise when our client, Pam, was the first to volunteer. Having participated in every single activity and project we have set at Trinity Homecare, Pam is a highly valued client that has come leaps and bounds since she first began care with us.
95-year-old Pam, came to us in 2019 when she found herself needing extra support, especially as her mobility was declining. To begin with, Pam was unable to get very far. However, with the ongoing support of Trinity’s live-in care service, Pam began to walk again, with the use of a frame. For Pam, her quality of life has improved in various ways. She says:
The care I have received through Trinity has been wonderful. All of the carers are very nice. Before I had a live-in carer, I never had much company or anyone to talk to, other than my family. I wasn’t happy on my own. Now I have made good friends and am far more active.
Vika and Pam walk to support those living with cancer
TrinityCarer Vika and Pam have begun their walk to help Trinity Homecare and our clients and carers to reach 100k. The aim of the walk is to raise money for The Royal Marsden Hospital- supporting those living with cancer. Every day, Vika and Pam will walk round the block in aid of this wonderful cause.

The 100k Summer Walk is in aid of a very good cause. The Royal Marsden Hospital is a leader in the field of cancer treatment and research and was the first-ever hospital that opened, dedicated to treating cancer. It provides inpatient, daycare and outpatient services for all cancers, and pioneers and innovates in cancer nursing, treatment and drug development.
